About this walk

Bakers Park is a huge park in Newton Abbot, follow the path through the gate and it takes you through meadows, pass Bradley Manor and into the woods. There is a river one side and a stream the other along the route so it's a great walk for dogs who love to swim! You will come to a bridge across the river, here you can either cross the bridge and walk back through the woods (this is quite steep) or go back the way you came. I have seen some people continue through the fields, I imagine that they come out somewhere near Ogwell. There is free parking for about 15 cars at the edge of the Bakers Park or if this is full Wolborough Street Car park is just down the road back into Newton Abbot.

We visited here whilst on holiday in Devon last week after seeing your recommendation - and it was lovely! Lots of bluebells out and our spaniel loved all the streams and woodland to run around. Thankyou for posting it!

A lovely walk. Not too muddy and plenty for the dogs to explore. The river lemon is very pretty in places.

We did this walk today with our labrador and he absolutely loved it. The place is huge, and there are meadows and also woodland with streams, so a good variety. Our dog loved swimming in the streams and exploring the woods. We're local so we'll definitely be doing this walk again. We plan on doing the other walks around the area as well, so fingers crossed we have a nice summer!
