About this walk

When you come into Exmouth follow the signs for the Seafront. Parking is available right the way along the 2 mile stretch of sandy beach, it doesn’t matter which end you start at but I like to start at the Esplanade and walk to the other end of the beach along Queens Drive and back again. Dogs are allowed on the whole beach from 30th of September to the 1st of May. They are allowed on the last stretch of beach at the very end of Queens Drive all year round. There are lots of signposts to tell you which part it is. There are various shops and cafes along the way. There is a pavement long the top of the beach so the walk is pushchair and wheelchair friendly. I can be a busy walk but the beach is so big you won’t feel crowded.

Good dog walking beach, very fun. Not so great when restrictions are in as small area

If you check the tide times aim for around low tide. That allows you to start your walk within about 100m of Orcombe Point, then walk around the cliffs towards Sandy Bay. Absolutely lovely, even better than the rest of Exmouth Beach in my opinion.

This is a great walk, if you go around low tide during the restrictions the dog friendly area near foxholes carpark is massive! You can walk for ages and is a lot of fun. Lots of space and not overcrowded, even on busy weekends there’s a lot of space!
