This walk is in the grounds of the beautiful Cockington estate which is signposted to from surrounding Torquay and Paignton. Although the car park is slightly more expensive than others the whole estate, woodlands and water gardens are free to walk around. Dogs are welcome and can be let off the lead however, just be aware that in the Holiday Season there are Shire Horses taking passengers on trips around the estate on some of the paths so you may want to put the dogs on a lead as they go by. There is plenty of open space and meadows to play ball! As well as miles of walks surrounding the main estate. There is a cafe in Cockington House itself as well as a craft centre. There are other cafes and a pub in the tiny village of Cockington, which are like stepping back in time.

You can also take dogs into the cafe at the Manor House and the staff are really friendly. It's a lovely place. -

Lovely walk, no cars except in main village, forests and fields, some livestock around. Choice of places in the village to eat.
