About this walk

Lovely coastal walk and round the nature reserve. I've said hilly, as there are some initial steps but in the main its an easy walk

Great dog friendly beach with cafe but toilets weren’t open when we went last weekend due to corona. Lovely views to Isle of Wight and mudeford harbour

Best dog walk for miles. All terrain - long paths, short paths, busy or quiet. Lots of cyclists on the paved routes!

The best walk on the Hampshire Dorset border by a long stretch. Beach, coastal walk on paths, totally dog safe and decent amenities. What else is needed? Sure its not a forest or common but you have the New Forest with all it has to offer just a short drive away. Only negatives we've incurred is the occasional grumpy walker that doesn't like dogs or snobby owners that are all precious about their perfectly behaved pooch. Fortunately these people are rare but do lurk here. On the whole a great place. Oh and if you are peckish check out nearby Simon's Fish and Chips on the road leading back to Christchurch. The foods OK but the miserable owners are just the funniest ever. I've never laughed so much at being so rudely served.
