About this walkThis is about a 4 mile round walk. Park after the bridge entering Dorchester and there are toilets there. Walk through an extremely picturesque village (take lots of change as residents sell jams, marmalade, eggs, fruit and veg) - follow the signs to the Catholic Church and then walk to Little Wittingham through fields and over bridge and through to another church then follow signs up to the Clumps.
There are two and you can either go up hill or flat through woods.
Take your own refreshments. local pubs allow dogs and the clumps have benches to sit and enjoy amazing views!

Did this today and there are so many options. It is very well maintained. You can also access the clumps from the Little Wittingham side. -

I don't want to be too pedantic, but the village is Little Wittenham. The field on the Dorchester side of the river has been largely fenced, allowing walking in a straight lines across the field (previously could roam and picnic anywhere in the field). Sheep are often to be found in the fenced off areas. You are also supposed to keep you dogs on a short lead in the Clumps area - cattle are loose.
