Hazelemere Recreation Ground is surrounded by lots of fields and woodland and no main roads which make it a perfect place to let dogs off lead to exercise. Care should be taken in August when the farmer is harvesting hay on the combine harvester and at certain times of year when birds are nesting. Dogs are allowed on the main recreation ground which is perfect for ball throwing but it is recommended to keep dogs on lead if Football or Cricket is being played. There are plenty of dog poo bins on the parameter of the rec but not in the other green areas. A circular walk around all the fields surrounding the rec can take between 1.5 to 2 hours.

The rec ground is great but also there are miles of fields behind it which are also fabulous if you want to extend your walk.
