Silverdale Country Park

Great place to have a short or long walk. If you take the path that goes all the way around the top the views are amazing. I have never had a problem with having the dog off the lead there but there are signs that say your dog must be under control at all times... a bit vague but my dog is under control and better off the lead.

Great place, but no real parking areas or amenities

Great place to walk, didn't realise this was on the doorstep either! Not sure about animals on route but we did the bridle path around the outside so we didn't see too many other dogs but we did see a young horse and rider going around. Views were stunning, would recommend if doing the bridlepath a good pair of walking boots as it was a bit muddy when we went. It was also very well sign posted on the route and it's marked out for poo bins which is also an added bonus!
