About this walk

Easy walk across forest floor, grass and dirt paths. Dogs can go lead-free and plenty of sights and smells. Ponds for a quick dip too :) £3.30 for all day parking, toilets located in carpark. Food available seasonally.

Recommend not walking your dog in the area. Signs everywhere stating dogs have become seriously ill / died after walking in the area. We decided not to walk our dogs in the wood after reading the signs.

Lovely wooded area for both dogs and kids! Plenty of room for everyone. Make sure you have money for parking. Can get busy especially on Bank holidays.

Me and my daughter took the kids and our fur babies there last year, never again it's a beautiful walk and the dogs loved it but within 12hrs both dogs were seriously ill, my girl is a gsd and she was very ill with sickness lasted about 4 days and our boy is a Jack Russell who didn't get as ill but was sick for 24hrs, we weren't sure what was wrong until we looked it up and found out this is a common problem here, such a shame as a beautiful walk but we won't be going again with the dogs, my grandchildren loved it so will be going back just sad I can't take the dogs with us
