Easy to find if you know Warminster, it's the first time we've been and my husband, myself and two dogs really enjoyed ourselves. Took a while to figure out where the dogs to be let of there leads as they aren't allowed around the main lake because of people fishing, however there are other areas in which the dogs can have a good splash about. Lovely scenery of the main lake and surrounding forest. You can hire boats and take on the lake, have a nice bike ride around (which we are planning) or just enjoy the walk. Would recommend for any age. Lovely afternoon out.

Where can I get info about the algae ? In France we only get it in the summer when it's hot and water is low. Would it be safe to let my dog splash on the lake now ? Thanks 😊 -

Free parking but since Covid police are patrolling area and you get a ticket or moved on if you park on the road. Small little cafe here. Dogs on lead around the lake. Walk up through the woods that are past the boating club, it will take you to Heaven’s Gate, Longleat. (you should have the perimeters of Centre Parcs on your right) -
