No need to pay to get in to the Longleat Estate ample free parking and a short walk to stunning views over the estate looking towards Frome. Longer walks can be found by following paths into the forest.

This is a great walk for dogs, esp. off the main track and into the woods. Does get pretty busy on the weekends though.

As you go into the car park there is a footpath to the left which will take you down through the woods, with the perimeter of Centre Parks to the left of you, this will you down to Shearwater Lake. Dogs need to be on lead around the lake. There is a small cafe at the far entrance to the lake. Nice walk for dogs in hot weather. Algae in the lake though. However, there is a small little splash area just before you get to the lake.

Lovely easy walk to a great view. Lots of space to walk and avoid getting too close to other dogs as well.
