Disused colliery now a nature park which consists of woodland, heathland, playing fields and a pond. Most of the paths around the site are named after the various coal seams that were worked at Lofthouse Colliery.

Only small, but a nice quick walk. The perimiter path and main path over the top of the hill is wide and not too muddy, the smaller paths get really muddy if it rains evena small amount. There's a small fishing pond, and open field to one side. The top of the hill is an open heather and wildflower area, very pretty in early summer with lupins, and late summer with Heather. Off lead dogs and horses (riden) frequent the park. No livestock. limited parking. -
