About this walk

Ogden is a lovely place to walk your dog. After parking walk through the gate & down the path. You can walk around the reservoir which is a circular walk of about 1.5 miles, or explore the surrounding woods.

One walk goes along the river. After leaving the carpark turn right on the path around the reservoir, but instead of going across the little wooden bridge walk up the path to the right. This leads to a lovely riverside walk with opportunities for your dog to paddle. It's rocky & muddy in parts.

If you prefer you can walk around the reservoir, it's flat & can be muddy There's a stretch across a dam wall where your dog has to go on the lead

Lovely walk around the water and quite a large area to walk around away from the trees.

Lots of paths and woods to explore, you can make the walk as long as you like, we usually go through the woods to the dam then back along the waterside path, about 3 miles.

We took the path to the right on exiting the car park and walked along the river, past the damn and the crossed the river to walk up the hill to the wind turbines. Crossing the fields to the left and then down through the woods to the promenade of the reservoir. Great walk, took a couple of hours. It was very windy at the top on the day we went. Invigorating!!

No parking at all, mainly because people can’t park properly!
