About this walk
Penistone Hill is fabulous for off lead dog walks. We usually do an evening walk of 1-2 miles with our pup, but every day we discover new paths to explore. You can park your car & let the dog straight out. It is muddy so wellies are advisable & something to dry the dog with. There are lots of dog walkers in the area, but if you want to avoid them it's easy because there are so many paths you can just change direction. Most dogs & owners are friendly & ours loves to run around with doggy friends. A couple of times we've met horses, but you can usually spot them in plenty of time to get your dog on the lead.
