I love this walk! Just outside of the city but in the middle of the countryside. 850 acres of park and woodland, it’s a popular walk but so big you can easily find your own space. Parking is available for £1, there is a lovely cafe with dog water bowls at the mansion as well as toilets. Ashton Estate is also a deer park, although they are fenced in, just be aware. There are various paths so it is wheel chair and buggy friendly.

I just wanted to say thank you for the person who added this walk. I moved here a month ago to Portishead and was looking for places to walk my dog. This is a beautiful place and there is tons of room. There were huge grassed areas where I felt safe letting my dog off lead (which I seldom do as his hunt instinct can override his obedience sometimes if we are near hedges or undergrowth) One small comment is that the pay and display carpark (parking is £1.20 for the day ) does not give change so you may want to ensure that you have some with you -

That's super news MaxKelly, glad you found the walk information useful. The walk author has added quite a few walks on here so they might be worth checking out. (Clink on their profile picture above). Happy walkiees!
