Travelling west from Theydon Bois, go past all the homes and park in the first car park on the right. Car park is close to the fast road, so be careful if your pup is over excited. Go through the gate, turn right and then take the left path. If you take a left at every path/junction it’s a lovely walk through the forest. Over babbling brooks and streams and logs and trees for your pups to jump on. Quiet first thing in the morning, can get busier at weekends. But lots of room for the dogs to be off lead, away from the road. Can get muddy and lots of squirrels. Only one poo bin at the start/end by the car park. Lovely route.

About an hour’s stroll, only the last section felt too close to the main road to allow him freedom. Chose the right time as more dogs were being walked as we got back to the car.
