This is a park walk which we tend to start at the Mountbatten Leisure Centre, located next to/on Alexandra park. You can park in the car park, and walk down along the waters edge to the main field of Alexandra park. There are (many) poo bins along the way. There are a few benches along the waters front, and you will need to take care if your dog is a swimmer, as there are steps leading down to the water, just as the path splits round the field. Easy access for curious dogs to go down exploring! I've never encountered a problem here, but have heard reports of anti social behaviour taking place. Certainly on a Saturday/Sunday morning you will probably find some beer cans from the night before!

Dogs are best on the lead if on the bike path as it gets busy with walkers, joggers and cyclists but the park itself is fine. Be careful to scoop the poop as wardens are vigilant but there are plenty of bins. -

Can be busy with walkers/bikes/families but a lovely walk especially now the sea wall defences have been rebuilt. Can walk from Mountbatten centre all the way round to hilsea lido.
