This lovely walk takes you along the shoreline at the top of Portsmouth’s harbour, round the castle and can be finished with a drink in The Cormorant Pub (dog friendly).
Over 9 acres of grass areas, as well as woody areas, a children’s park, and the shore, perfect for those dogs who love to swim! Portchester Castle is also an English Heritage site, you can visit the castle grounds but dogs must be on leads within this area. St Mary’s Church within the castle grounds also has dog friendly tea rooms.

If you go when the sun is setting it is beautiful. 2 parks along the route from the castle to salt cafe -

Gorgeous views and scenery - didn’t do the whole walk as stated here as we went on a hot day, but will definitely be returning. -

Head towards the end of castle street, pass The Cormorant Pub on your right and turn left into the large car park. There is an additional car park if you continue straight towards the castle entrance and turn right
