Park in a small car park opposite Barley Mow pub GR:778 537. From the car park, you can see the canal, it's opposite from the car park entrance.
Turn right on the canal towpath and follow the towpath all the way to the Broad Oak bridge (GR: 753 520), cross the bridge and follow footpath onto the road, turning left onto another footpath almost immediately when reaching the road. Follow this footpath until coming out at a white house, turn left and walk through the middle of these 2 white houses (it looks like a driveway but it is a footpath).
Follow this drive/footpath all the way until you reach some wooden gates to a huge house with a private pond and a lion statue, there is a footpath running up the right-hand side of this gate. Follow this footpath up the hill and then in between 2 paddocks, eventually you should be able to see the Four Seasons Hotel on your right and a nice house/estate on your left.
Follow this footpath until you hit a private road go straight across the first road and then at the second turn left on the road heading away from the big pond you see in front of you, following the public footpath signs. heading up this road, you will meet another set of gates, to the right-hand side is a public footpath, follow this path until you get to a metal kissing gate.
Through the kissing gate, turn left immediately and follow this path all the way back onto the canal, one at the canal go over the bridge back down onto the towpath to the left-hand side and follow all the way back to the car park.

Lovely 9.4km walk. Very muddy in winter and not completely flat.
