There are two options here. From the pub take the lane to the left just above the road. This will lead to queen Elizabeth park. The description here is for the second option which is far less obvious. This walk is basically a rectangle leading back to where you started.
Take the path through the church opposite the pub. Follow the worn path up through the fields. Follow the top edge of the field as you head further upwards. Off to your left you will see a small church down the hill in the distance. Follow the track to the end then head downwards along the horse paddocks. Take a paved road to the left about 100 metres then turn right under the bridge. Head up to the church. The track continues past and then to the left along the field. Once you get to an opening turn left and head down to the road. At the road turn left and you will see a gate leading into a paddock next to the railway line. Walk along the railway line to the right for 50 metres and then go under the railway line and up a steep incline through a little scrub and then across paddocks until you reach the point you started at back at the church. The red lion pub does great food. Walk will take about 1.5 hours.
