About this walk
Not yet a forest, as it's newly planted, with mature woodlands at back and side. Good parking and paths that are dry in winter ( a big plus). Plenty of off-lead, sunny open areas where your dog can run to his heart's content. Great pub food in dog friendly pub at the Rose and Crown in nearby Sandridge.

AL4 9DQ for those of you with satnav. Sandridge is north east of St Albans. Exit Sandridge going north on the High St and you will see Heartwood signposted on the left. Very good parking.
