We had a nice day with our dog at Castle Ashby gardens. Walk through the well maintained estate. There's plenty to see. There is a short woodland walk that has been marked out, round the pond. Go through the arboretum and into the different gardens. Dogs can even go in the glass Palmery. We saw several other dogs there. Lots of magical pathways and hiding places. A nice half day out. Take a picnic. Free parking, toilets, cafe, playground and easy to find. There's even a small menagerie although dogs not allowed in there. Tickets £9.60. Check their website for more details.
