Nice place to visit, however didn't see any 'off lead' areas, were plenty of signs asking for dogs to be kept on leads. Nice grounds, woodland and lake

Nice pleasant walk around the Abbey grounds, the Abbey was shut and under renovations on our trip. The lakes are lovely and are full of ducks. You can walk to Rufford Ford from the grounds, however the Ford is shut to road traffic. There is café and several small shops by the Ford with benches outside for a quick rest. Lots of signs to say dogs to be kept on leads throughout the park.

Nice walk especially in the summer! Parking costs keep rising however you do pay for day and not by the hour
