Erddig Hall (National Trust) near Wrexham, a walk taking in some farm land that may have animals grazing (please dogs under control) which opens out into common land with river running through it.
There is parking at Erddig Hall which is free as is the walks(colour coded) from the carpark however there is a charge to the house and grounds. (National Trust)
there is a cafe close to the start of the walks open to the public however there are no toilets out side the National Trust gounds some paths are compacted stones or grass
the paths run along side a river and there are plenty of places for the dogs to paddle and swim.

It’s a lovely big place to walk around. Not too easy to follow the colours but you can find your way around. Definitely recommend. -

Lovely walk, mostly off the lead. Muddy and slippery in places! -

Very enjoyable place to walk. Whilst dogs aren't allowed in the grounds the country park is extensive with a choice of woodland, open parkland, a river for the dogs to play in and numerous different car parks to choose from. Some areas / times of the year dogs need to be kept on lead due to the stock grazing. -

Some off-lead areas, others have sheep grazing and require lead. Lovely cafe. Fun stream to play in.
