This is a 6 mile walk taking about 3 hours or so and covering all sorts of areas, from urban to park to open farmland and country and back, but it will give your dog a great run and good for you too.
Parking at Anstey Lane Park you can either walk across the park to the main road or use the lead for a trip down the main drag, until you find Anstey Mill Lane. On the leash and through to the business park and picking up the footpath across from the Aldi's will take you under the main road and along a number of footpaths. There a number of different animals to see, including pigs, geese, turkeys (depending on the time of year) and Alpacas. Pick up the footpath leading across the farmland you come to an underpass under the A31 which leads you to Neatham Mill and a bit of a hill. A footpath on the right about 1/2 a mile up the road leads you to a farm with the footpath running through it. Careful if you go during the working day as it is busy. The path is along the concreted road, leading to a copse. Simply follow the paths all the way around in a large circle which will take you over hill and dale but well worth the views and solitude. Pheasants are plenty, so if your dog likes to flush like ours does, it will be busy! The walk comes to the busy A31 and this is where it becomes a little busy. The footpaths lead across the roundabout and across the other side, and a good map will show you. Once over, follow the paths again, retracing your route into Hollyborne and heading up Howards Lane to St Swithun's Path, into Anstey Lane Park and done.
