The Hook

A wide open nature reserve next to River Trent, with clear pathways suitable for pushchairs / wheelchairs (although it does get muddy in wetter weather). Children's park at the Rugby Club end, with fields where dogs can roam off lead happily, even parts where they can swim in the Trent if they like! Fields at the other end of the nature reserve, with paths leading to the Sailing club and Holme Pierrepont Water Sports Centre. At the Water Sports centre there is a cafe, paid parking, another childrens play park, and a Sky Trail and Miniature Golf. The paths converge in several places so you can walk for as little or as long as you like, but in total the walk from the Rugby Club, down to Holme Pierrepont and then back again would be approx. 3 miles.
