Hanchurch woods is a really peaceful woodland area, it has a big picnic area and then 3 marked walks. The Green Walk which is 3.5 miles and covers a variety of wooded and pastoral landscapes, mainly focusing on the village of Hanchurch.
The Red Walk which is 2 miles climbs the high ground of Harley Thorns woodland and offers panoramic views of the Wrekin in Shropshire and Cannock Chase and The Blue Walk which is 7 miles, The Blue Walk takes you to the hamlet of Beech. A short diversion from the circular walk at Beech allows you to explore the local caves.

Simple, quiet woods. No fuss or frills, but the area is clean and has a pleasant picnic area by the car park. The markers for the three designated walking routes aren't especially clear, but the general area is pleasant for a gentle stroll anyway.
