Great walk through forest that leads to bottom of the second highest hill in the Campsie Fells, Meikle Bin (at 1870ft high it’s classed as a Marilyn). Tough going last few feet but worth the effort for the views.

This was a lovely walk though parking could be an issue when busy. My pup loved the water as well. -

No not usually anyway as it’s a forest track.

Location details
The car park can get busy and there’s only room for maybe half a doz cars. There is another much larger car park on the south side of the reservoir which obviously means a longer walk along the side of the reservoir but it has toilets, picnic areas & there’s usually a mobile cafe there too and probably won’t take that much longer to be honest.
