Park in the car park at The Anchor only if you intend having coffee/drinks/refreshments there before/after your walk. Otherwise, there is limited parking nearby.
From the pub, you can follow the canal for many miles, either towards West Byfleet, Weybridge, etc., or towards Ripley, Guildford. Too many options to explain here but lots of helpful maps, etc., en route which will show you where to stop. Nice and safe with very few roads to cross. If you walk from the pub towards Ripley/Newark Priory and then back, that is a round walk of about an hour and no roads at all. You can vary the route too by crossing the canal bridges, going over golf courses and so on. Endless possibilities.

We really enjoyed walking our dog along the canal. It's always great to have a large and free parking area close by...and the pub as well. Thanks for the tip.
