This walk takes in the delights of the Robin Hood's Bay beach and town, as well as the undulating farmland away from the coast. Part of the route is along the picturesque Cinder Trail which follows the gentle route of the old railway from Scarborough to Whitby, so called as some of the ballast under the rails was cinders rather than stone. It also gives the option to shorten the route by continuing along the track instead of looping around the hills.
