Hilly walk in Primrose Hill Park, there are nearby shops, pubs and pet store on Regents Park road. Take the exit where Regents Park road and Primrose Hill Road intersects. Dogs are allowed off lead though be aware it can get very crowded on a hot summers day. Nice children's playground also in the park.

Worth a visit just for the most amazing (and famous) views across London. As said can get very busy. -
