Great walk especially (socialising puppy) and with Children around the lakes on this 250acre site. There is pathway around but in areas is a distance from the lake.
The Lake is in use and more so in Summer months and dog owners are asked to have control of their dogs but are allowed off lead. There are Swans, Geese and Ducks enroute and reminded to exercise control. There is a small wooded area and great open spaces to run.
Refreshments are available and a hot hose (50p charge when we were there) to hose off muddy bodies, feet and paws.
Car parking £1 for 1hr or £2.50 up to 4. But check website for any amendments and programs of activities in School Holidays.

The water here is considered dangerous to the dogs so you need to keep them on the lead the whole time for it’s safety -

Walk can be extended by walking up to Sandal Castle. Usually very busy. -

Great place if your dog likes to swim! Good level path to take you round the water or you can go through the woods on the witches trail which is great to keep the children occupied finding the carved figures. There's a good children's climbing frame, information centre and café by the entrance.
