Rabbit Ings is a country park located on the former colliery yard and spoil heap of the Monkton Colliery and then the Royston Drift Mine, which closed in 1989. The 64-hectare site, situated near Royston in South Yorkshire, is home to an array of wildlife – including newts, snakes and herons.

Ok,not the most picturesque place and could do with a cafe...served its purpose, dig got lots if off lead time ...esp up on the hills off the beaten track. -

Different routes for different abilities but if you go to top there is an impressive view 👌 -

Lovely little walk - Just under an hour long, maybe. Flat paths for the most part. -

lovely walk! Car park is not very big. The pub down the road is dog friendly and has a lovely out door seating area for a warm day. The food is also nice.
