About this walk

Amazing hills and valleys make this place a worth while visit. Park for free on Church Lane and walk up the lane. There are several pathways to choose from. You can see the massive peak from here and I took this path along the field to the reserve. Its high up with steep paths and steps. You will need to be reasonably fit. But the views over the valley are worth it. It's like a mini peak district. There is a wood and stream at the bottom with flatter paths. I enjoyed the slim paths running around the hills. Wild ponies roam. If you enjoy a challenge, try it.

Lovely surroundings, and nice length walk. A few picnics near stream, but could still go for a paddle off lead. Didn’t see any cattle or ponies, so managed more off lead than on!

Our favourite dog walking area, by FAR!!! Very hilly, lots of pheasants which our cocker loved to chase (didn’t catch any, don’t worry!) beautiful views for miles. We my not have found the main parking area but where we do park is only big enough for 6-8 cars?
