National Trust the Newhailes Estate has lovely walks, away from it all, but minutes from the city centre. There is a tearoom and often has activities arranged.

Massive field, excellent for tiring dogs out with games of fetch. Likely to meet another dog, so good for interaction. Would advise to bring a back up ball - many a ball lots in thick bushes by accident!!
