About this walk

Being partially disabled and using a mobility scooter it made it difficult to find somewhere locally to walk our 5 dogs. We went to try Pembrey Country Park out and it was fantastic for ALL of us, my dogs enjoyed the open space, the woods, (which gave them plenty of different things to smell), they enjoyed meeting other dogs in an open space but whilst under control.

The facilities there are for both able and non-abled bodied people are great, there is something for everyone to do and is an ideal family day out. If it is nice weather it is a great place for a picnic but also if you didnt want to take a picnic then there is an excellent cafe aswell. It was also nice to be made to feel safe because of the park wardens that they have at the park.

I would highly recommend this walk especially for us less able bodied people.

This place was completely safe for our 3 springer spaniels off lead the whole time. We parked in car park 1, so you could let them out the car straight into the woods or the beach. Completely safe, loads of routes to go round the woods and we absolutely loved it. The parking was £8 for the day but if you take a packed lunch and stuff and make the day of it it’s worth it.
