I found this while waiting for my son who was at a party at Intech. It's several miles of butterfly conservation area. With fields with styles (with dog gate bit) which is great because you can let the dogs off the lead and if another dog comes you can hop over a style into another field if the dogs don't get on.
There is a more obvious entrance opposite St Switherns school on Alresford Road, but there's no parking. There is a sign and map at that entrance, and a poo bin.
If you Park at Intech you need to go round the back of the building, past their outside eating area, through a kissing gate and you're on a bridle way. Turn right, go past a field and the back of a cemetery and you get to the conservation area. There are signs to tell you if cattle are in the fields or not. There is a dirt track so if you don't have your wellies you're still OK. Yesterday Barnaby and I were there for about 3 hours walking up and down, we saw 3 other dogs and a couple of joggers.
No refreshments or shops, nearest is about 1 mile walk, so we took a flask of tea.

Great walk, very well sign posted about the areas which the dogs need to be on the lead. The parking is free at museum car park. Beautiful views, the only downfall being that you are close to the road which is a little loud. However there are lots of different routes to take and when the weather starts getting warmer there will be lots of butterflies to see. Will be going again to try the different routes. Several bins available in the car park and one at the start of the walk. -

Hi walked our dogs there yesterday, no cows Or sheep in field so let off lead but kept to paths as clearly they wants dogs on leads for most areas. Also now £2 parking charge at Intech. Lovely views and not Link →

Enjoyable walk, lots of birds of prey seen and great views. No livestock grazing but signs asked for dogs to remain on leads. Will certainly go again in a different season. -

Parking a bit busy at the weekend but only £2 now for the whole day. Easy walk and you can follow the tracks. I did a small loop which took me 1hr10mins - saved it to Komoot for easy reference Link →
