About this walk

This is a walk that has everything, open grassed areas for ball running the dog, wooded area walks which are great for the dog that likes to have a good sniff and a woodland walk next to Hamble river. I normally access the park from Pylands Lane which is next to junction 8 of the M27 and then take the walk through the woods and along the river bank, the walk follows a path and runs close to a bridleway so beware of the odd horse now and again, there are plenty of parking areas along the way which are pay and display. Right at the other end of the park close to Botley is the Farm which is open to the public and great for kids. There are toilets, refreshments and plenty of picnic areas.

This is a good area to walk the dog - I visited here in October 2012 with a friend for a doggy play date and it was perfect. Be aware that some paths are cycle/bridleway only. Can be quite muddy in places too.

Be careful - my dog went swimming, obviously swallowed some of the water, he had horrendous diarrhea... he died a few months later from liver failure at only 7 years old - they could possibly be connected... It's a great place though, not sure if I can risk it with my new dog though - she's not a swimmer so she should be okay.

Really love Toplands the fully secure area specially for dogs, wish more places had facilities like this Link →. A great place to train puppies and new rescues

This is a lovely place, but better in the summer as less muddy then. I enjoyed, and my doggy really enjoyed!
