Many different ways of walking through this large park. There are many open park spaces for throwing balls, forest walks for lots of sniffs, and the sea for a bit of a swim. In the summer we start with a stroll along the shore and then walk up into the woods, do a few loops and come back through the open park next to the church. In the winter we go straight in to the woods, walk north around the bbq & picnic areas. You can park your car in the park for £2. We park on the street before the park, you should find spaces. Finally, be careful of the roads in the park; they're not busy but have sharp bends and cars seem to appear from out of nowhere.

Nice walk, lots to do and great for dogs that like a dip in the sea! Can get very busy in the summer which can be a problem if your dog is off the lead! -

This is a good place to go and play! We took a ball and had great fun throwing it all over the large grassy fields. We went in January and again in February 2013 and it was very quiet but I imagine in the summer it would be choc-a-bloc with people and kids. Be VERY wary of letting your dog off the lead here unless you have very good recall/stop&stay; commands as the roads in the park are dangerous for odd-leaders, especially if your dog is small like mine (drivers just don't see them). You can stick to the middle of the grassy areas and play games off-lead but I was clipping and unclipping the lead all day. Also, be careful when approaching the river front. The water looks quite strong & dangerous (perhaps we were there at high tide) and the sea-wall could be easily hurtled-off by water loving dogs with very few places to climb back up. Much of the front is fenced off but there are areas where you can access and it's a bit scary. -
