This is about three miles and a circular walk - start at Millstone car park - Walk through the meadow where kids play park is to left/behind the pub to the end of the meadow and over the stream at the the very back of the meadow -,till you come out opposite the scrap yard on The Street. Turn left. Then Turn right along the street then left at the Village hall (OR U CAN START HERE!!! It's a bit shorter and easier )and go down Newnham Road, go past the river ( you will be walking on the road at this point for 300 yards ) and an Old Mill on the left, then 50 metres along on left there will be a footpath which take you to a 'secret' bit of the river with rope swings across. Many local children know this part And the love it Keeep following the river ( you will pass a bridge don't go over it)and you will come iinto a wooded area with amazing bluebells during the spring. Keep going and take next left bridge ( follow footpath signs) and you will go across a field which if you keep going ( you will see AA building in distance ahead and an energy silo to the right) keep going towards AA building and you will eventually come out in Pyotts Hill- turn right then left in Bartons Lane and Footpath back down alleyway to Meadow which leads into Bartons Mill pub… its a lovely walk/run - Enjoy! Fantastic walk, really enjoyed it. Our dog Millie had a good hour and a half walk. Directions were spot on! -

Lovely circular walk with plenty of shallow places for your dogs to cool down in the water -

I’m sure it’s lovely in the summer but in winter it’s just a mud bath and the first bridge impassable, no pathed route here! -

Fabulous walk. Better to start in the villlage hall and walk up the road and into the footpath. Fabulous river spots for dogs to nip in and out and lovely walk around the fields. ☺️ -

Nice walk through some lovely countryside and a wonderful stream if you don’t mind letting your dog get wet! Just be careful with the road just after the Village Hall as it winds a bit so cars can’t easily see you and there’s no footpath -

Lovely walk, unfortunately the footpath signage has been broken after the wooden bridge so it isn’t clear which way you need to go when you get into the field and where to cross over the stream. But got there in the end. The Barton’s mill pub at the end is very dog friendly so lovely to have a well earned drink after.
