About this walk

From the church follow the footpath behind and across the filed across the little lane and through the horse paddock and continue along footpath that bears off to the right along edge of field that runs parallel to street. Come out into Eedmans lane turn left and take footpath to dark wood but turn right to head behind houses on Wedmans lane. Turn right when you reach the road and right again to head back up the street to the start.

The instructions for this walk are not good. It says "Go behind the church and cross the field." That's OK. But then you do not cross the road and do not walk through a paddock. In fact you are supposed to arrive at the road but not cross it. Instead you turn right and walk alongside the paddock. I am assuming this, because we crossed the road and went for miles in the wrong direction. Nevertheless, it is nice countryside and we did find our way home ! The dog was knackered.

Instructions at OK, but would it not be better to have maps to accompany these walks ?

Norman, sorry you got lost not sure which way you went. After the first field behind the church you come to a unmade road and then go through the horse field to follow the footpath.
