About this walk
There are no bins at the parking area, so make provisions for any doggy-bags!
From the parking, follow the river downstream- there are plenty of signs to keep you on track, but pretty much follow the river.
There is a path for some of the way, though sometimes you just walk though fields- Wyre Walks have signs marking the way.
The dog can stay off the lead most of the way, though I always put his back on when other dogs approached where the path was narrow.
It's a beautiful walk. We walked 2 miles downstream, though the path went further. We had a picnic on the river bank then headed back, so a lovely 4 mile stroll.

3 years agoWent today with my two children and two dogs. It was a fantastic walk and the dogs could go off the lead all the time. Take some spare clothes for the kids so they can dip in the water and a towel for the dogs
2 years agoMe and my boyfriend went here with our Springer spaniel puppy. Lovely walk with lots of places for paddling in the river. We will definalty be going back here.
a year agoVery pretty, My dog loved it, especially the river in the shallow waters
a year agoLovely peaceful Sunday afternoon stroll with hubby, 13 year old daughter and 3 year old cocker spaniel. It was raining but didn’t spoilt the walk. The dog loved being able to go in the water as it was shallow.
a year agoAbsolutely love this walk. All off lead and loads to explore. Mainly dog walkers who come here, especially in wintery months.
10 months agoGood walk all time of the year - can get busy with family's on picnics on a sunny day. Lots of off lead walking for my cocker - who loves exploring in the woods.
