About this walk
National Trust Tudor Hall and garden with small woodland walk. Been here only a few times so there might be more to explore that I haven't found. It's a small place, good for a half day out and in non-covid times it had a cafe, shop and toilets (these are still closed as far as I know and I had to do a country wee in the woods :D ).
The grounds around the hall are lead only but there are a few footpaths through the woodland areas where I have let my dog off quite happily - note there is an unfenced fishing pond. It's a small area though so probably not great for dogs who like to explore spaniel style, as they might accidentally stray back to the lead-only grounds or even out to the private no-visitor areas adjacent.
Nice grassed/stepped area in front of the hall for picnics or just lazing about on a sunny day. Quiet on weekdays, free parking. I only found only one dog poo bin so far - in an odd place too, up a side road away from the Hall & car park.
