Alkincoates is a park ,with designated areas for kids and open land with woodland paths for dogs . It houses a rugby and football pitch and has a ‘sheep field’ to one side although this appears to be well fenced . There are plenty of areas for off leading . Car Parking can be found in the park entrance itself or alternatively on Red Lane where you can access the park across a well defined all user access pathway . The reserve itself is great for off lead runs through the woodland paths, although not a huge area you can explore and tire the dogs out for an hour or so . Some muddy ponds around but generally paths are gravel and not too muddy . There is also a great cafe serving home made breakfasts and lunches. Cakes are fab and you can sit outside with the dog on the pavilion.
