About this walk

Foxburrow Wood is a Community Woodland owned and managed by the Wychwood Project. The woodland, which was newly planted in 2010 – 2014 is enclosed with deer fencing to help the young trees flouish without being eaten by deer. Over time, the gates and fencing will be removed. There is water on site – another habitat for wildlife. The Wychwood Project has planted trees that give the area great places for dogs who like to sniff and there are also wide open rides for a good run.. In the winter take wellies but in the summer pack a lunch. The woodland as a few stopping points to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Please respect this habitat and the wildlife here by keeping dogs under close control, or on the lead, and, as always, pick up the poo – bins are provided.

Description updated in accordance with Wychwood Project feedback.

We walked this today (Easter Sunday) for the first time as we wanted a secure to let our puppy springer off for the first time. Both dogs loved the place. All fenced in, beautiful country views and water for the dogs to play in! Very nice walk and location!!

Walked this with my two setters and son and his kelpie. Dogs loved it youngest setter is 16 months was great to be able to let her run and not worry she would get lost or out on a road. Definitely a regular walk from now

Hello, does completely fenced in mean stock fenced? Im looking for somewhere 100% secure for my little escapologist! Thank you.

It is very secure with strong robust wire fences. If they are not working on the fences or gates then I would say yes 100% secure.

Walked again here today (Monday 29th August), lovely walk! Only annoying thing is there is no gate at the bottom so dogs can exit the secure fenced area if your not careful. Lovely walk though again!

We walked this walk and really enjoyed it. Puppy was able to have off lead time and being a spaniel loved the water features. Was nice to meet new doggy friends too.

Lovely walk about 30 mins to walk but the dogs can explore. Perfect for dogs that need a secure space. Would recommend for people that have young dogs.

I liked this walk BUT most dogs of lead not a problem but when your puppy is bitten due to no care of other dog owner it’s concerning. I have also renamed this walk shit city it’s full of it you walk in it your dogs may eat….. not for me this walk won’t be going again. Shame coukd be lovely
