This walk is a short drive along the A3 from London and easily accessible. It's a popular local dog walking area as it has tracks through the forest that dogs love. It has lovely track up to a semaphore tower or you can go exploring through one of the side tracks.
You will find it busier near the cafe but if you park a bit further along the road it's quieter and mostly dog people.
If you have a dog who loves water cross over the road from the carpark and follow the track to a large pond which has a sandy surface. It does have ducks but as the pond is so large they keep well away.
It's a great convenient walk, it's downside is that it's near both the A3 and A25 so you do get some noise.

Location details
Head south on the M25 and take the exit for the A3. Turn right at the round about but stay left. You will think you are heading on the A3 but you'll see a sign on the left to Ockham Common. Rather than parking in the cafe keep going another 100m and park in a small car park to avoid the crowds.
