Lovely large area with sandy paths either going through heathland, woods, or around the lake. If the first small car park off Priory lane is full, carry on and there is a larger one a few minutes further down.
This is one of those places that can be a short 30 minute walk or a nice 1-2 hour stroll. Lots of beautiful views of both the little and great lakes if you go up some of the paths. If your dog likes a swim, there are plenty of gradual slopes into the ponds, but it gets very busy with families in summer.

Absolutely love this walk. My pups are 5 months and love the ponds, they enjoy playing fetch in the water and meeting all the other dogs. Even my pre schooler loves going! -

Well managed National Trust area which is very safe and not muddy even in wet weather. Takes about an hour to walk around it & is thoroughly enjoyable
