A little bit disappointed with this walk today. There were quite a few areas that dogs had to remain on lead (we parked near the visitor centre). We ended up on the 'beach' which is where we didn't really want to be. Didn't find anywhere that resembled the photograph on this page. We might go back at some stage but park at a different part of the site. 3/5 -

Hi, following from your comments, I've just done a bit of research and I think the map marker was slightly out of place for this walk. I've updated it now so hopefully it will be a bit more helpful for future visits. Thanks. -

I note one of the comments stated they ended up at the beach. There is a thurstaston beach and a thurstaston common. They are a couple of miles apart. The beach has the visitors centre, the wirral way (which is a walk way and bridal path), a cafe and large grassed area for family games. The common has many pathways, trees, hills. Its a great area to let your dog run about. Free parking. The cottage loaf pub is a few hundred meters along the road with free parking too. Use to be dog friendly, not sure if it still is. Phone them to check -

The address is also wrong below. The free carpark is located on Telegraph Road as is the Cottage Loaf pub -

Lovely views from the top of the hill. Can walk to Royden Park as well.
