Perfect for dogs who want to run around, it’s an abandoned ww2 raf base so has the old runways, open space and forests (forestry commission). Parking is free, safe for our dogs to run around freely. No bins so have to keep hold of your poo bags. Shaded areas if it’s a hot day and you want to keep cover.

open, free roaming space for my 3 nutters. Was vast so we hardly met anyone, can hide in the shade in the woods if needed -

We walk here regularly and we enjoy it. Lots of different paths and things to find on this old MOD site. Never very busy either. -

Great for a wet day walking. Buddy was splattered but not filthy! Some less responsible owners leaving poo on the paths, but not everywhere! Great to explore the area. Lots of runway and a fair few paths through the trees too. Conjures imagination about how it was used and what the people who loved and worked here went through! Look forward to returning - wet or dry! Would recommend. -

Really good for off lead dog walking. Our boy loved running off in the woods!
