About this walk

A lovely reservoir walk on the North of the small market town Melton Mowbray. There are 3 varying routes, and a large open space for dogs off the lead to run around. A nice range of paths and a small play area for children and a small cafe with kind staff.

Traveled here from 40mins away. Very nice country park. Lots to see and do for dogs. Paths and trails to follow. Some lakes and hills. Free Car park is through a housing estate so I thought this won't be much, but it was great! We stopped in the dog friendly cafe for a crumpet and dog got some biscuits. Link →

  • Brilliant place to walk, safe for my 2 springers who were off the lead the whole time. Loads of little off paths and varied areas of grass, path, woodland and water. Was well worth the hour drive, free parking too. Also the cafe sold sausages for the dogs.
