Cross the bridge to the opposite side of the canal from where you park, turn right and walk walk walk.
The canal allows you to walk for miles, we usually walk to Pennington flash from here and back. approximately a 10 mile round trip. It is a good walk for training dogs on recall as you can see far ahead of you and the route is unobstructed. You do get a lot of cyclists on nice days and at rush hour, so be aware if you have a dog that is startled by this.

Pennington park is local to us so we have been alot, lots of different routes to take -

My 1 year old pointer is almost there with recall training and was perfect for the hour and a half we were out. Moved away for cyclists, joggers and pedestrians alike, all who were friendly and grateful. Only disappointment was one lady (Incidentally the only one who gave him attention) who encouraged him over then told me he should be on a lead when he pawed at her coat. All in all though, a lovely walk and perfect for perfecting that recall, even in my adolescent gun dog!
